Citigroup closed back over the 10 day moving average, a bullish signal if you are trading this stock on the long side. Keep an eye on three major resistance levels; $4.80, $4.84, $4.99. The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 9600 on 10/5/09, as the stock market soared on a better then expected ISM number. The Dow Jones Futures were modestly higher in pre market and the stock market continue to be up after the open. At 10am, we received a better then expected ISM reading and stock began to surge. At around 2:45pm EST, the stock market took another leg higher with the Dow Jones breaking back above 9600.
Coal Stocks: A positive article in Barron's over the weekend on Peabody Energy Corp. (BTU) caused a huge rally in the coal stocks. Shares of BTU were up 4% today to $36.60. Keep an eye on the other coal stocks as well.
Arch Coal Inc. (ACI) - Patriot Coal Corporation (PCX) - Massey Energy Co. (MEE) - Alpha Natural Resources, Inc. (ANR) - James River Coal Co. (JRCC)
Another interesting stock today was Research In Motion Ltd. (RIMM). RIMM was up over $2 at one point today but then went RED during the afternoon. If $65.25 doesn't hold, RIMM could be set to retest the 200 day moving average located at $63.46. Keep an eye on RIMM.

American Intl Group, Inc. (AIG) - AIG continues to trade below It's 10 day moving average and has done so for the past three trading sessions. With the 10 day moving average located at $44.45, I would be a buyer above this area for a trade. I also like pullbacks under $40, preferably under $38.
Citigroup Inc (C:NYSE) - Citi is back above the 10 day moving average ( $4.58 ). This area should offer some nice support going forward. When you see Citigroup break $4.80 and $4.99, you will not want to be out of this stock. Those are the two levels I am paying close attention to on the upside. If we get another correction, I like pullbacks between $4.25-$4.30 which would be a buy. Check out my Citigroup Technical Analysis
Bank of America Corp (BAC) - Bank of America Corporation is trading right between both the 10 & 50 day moving average. I am looking to buy BAC in the $15's or on a close above $18.24.
Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares (FAZ)
Daily Finan. Bull 3X Shs(ETF)(FAS) - FAZ continues to rally off the lows that were hit on Friday. FAS will start to hit resistance at the 10 day moving average located at $80.52. I feel the easy money trading FAZ has been made already, but I might take a shot if FAS rallies up to $85 again.
Freddie Mac (FRE) - Support = $1.60 - Resistance = $1.85, $1.90
Fannie Mae (FNM) - Support = $1.32 - Resistance = $1.56, $1.60
Vonage Holdings Corporation (VG) - VG popped Monday on smart phone app news. A close above $1.61 would be very bullish and I think the stock could eventually test $2. VG is now trading above the 10 day moving average.
Discovery Laboratories Inc. (DSCO) - DSCO hit resistance of $1.20 on Monday but then sold off. I am watching for a break above $1.21 going forward.
Las Vegas Sands Corp. (LVS) - Keep an eye on the 10 day moving average at $17.35, this is the new resistance level going forward. Since the the 50 day moving average was hit on Friday, LVS has gone up $3 so I'd expect there to be some major selling near the 10 day. If LVS can get a few solid closes over the 10 day, this would set up a retest of $20. Pullbacks under $15 continue to be a strong buy going forward.
CEL-SCI Corp. (CVM) - The $1.60 support level was broken on Monday. This is very bearish but not the end of the world. As soon as CVM starts trading successfully back over $1.60, I will jump back into the stock.
Cell Therapeutics, Inc. (CTIC) - CTIC is back testing the $1.00 level. $0.97-$1.00 must hold or I feel the stock could really tank. If the stock does come under extreme selling pressure, I would look to buy near the 200 day moving average which is located around $0.85. I will also buy CTIC when the stock closes back over the 10 day moving average ( currently located at $1.25 ).

It seems as though everyone is watching Libor rates these days. Today's Libor Rates for 10/5/09 are: 1 Month Libor Rate - 0.244% & 3 Month Libor Rate - 0.284%. The overnight Libor rate is 0.203%. As you can see, Libor Rates have changed today, October 5, 2009. While the 1 & 3 month libor rates stayed the same, the over night libor went up.
